() National archive representatives will be in Birmingham's Kelly Ingram Park on Saturday to record stories from those who lived through the civil rights movement . Birmingham is one of 35 cities in 22 states that organizers of the Voices of Civil Rights project will visit to collect stories for permanent preservation in the Library of Congress. The public is invited. The tour will be tracked by the History Channel for a documentary. Organizers said people can give their stories to a professional film crew; talk into tape recorders; type them into on-site computers; or submit them in writing. People can also contribute to the archive online.
