I am looking for the names of present day newspapers in towns surrounding Edgefield SC. My ancestors migrated to different towns and I think some of their descendants may have settled in the state but I don't have a clue where to start. In my large city, we have abt 3 AA newspapers. The most popular one reports positive information about black achievements as well as social happenings. We can send in information for family/class reunions, church happenings just everthing. I need help in finding the specific newspaper black town folks will read. My intentions is to send each one a short bio of the Surnames I am looking for and names from the 1940 census to perhaps find lost cuzzins. BLACK HISTORY MONTH is coming and new items to talk about would inhance their news media. A genealogy story may inhance their circulation and help me. If any one knows the name of the newspaper town people use--that is the only one I want to know the name and/or address. If you have a way to help me find these specific type town papers--hook me up. 'My writing juices' are ready to go. I know there might be a cost, but it will be worth getting the information out.
