Amsterdam News in the Classroom

Amsterdam News in the Classroom is the name of our
Newspapers in Education (NIE) program.

"This program allows students, teachers and parents to use the newspaper as an information and education tool. In this case, our NIE page focuses on Black history, especially those people, places and events that have gone unnoticed or have simply been forgotten, but which have left an indelible mark on the world in which we live today.
As part of each lesson, we’ll ask students to do research on the subject, participate in class discussions and write about that day’s lesson. We’ll also tell readers what other notable events took place that week in Black history."
