I will be in Kalamazoo this spring, the 1st Sunday of May I believe, to do a presentation at their beautiful library. According to my library contact, the community has an AA genealogy group, so both you & Robert may want to make contact if you have not already done so.

Art, do you have a GenealogyBank subscription? It appears that Robert does, or at least he has access. Anyway, you can do free searches and identify articles that look like they may pertain to your ancestors. Robert, myself or others with access would probably get you the actual article(s) if you ask nicely. I would think that the first 3 would be free, then standard rates apply! LOL Just kidding.
