Still, it would seem that even if all the African American males in Sandusky, benefitted from parlor haircuts (considering the price of a haircut then in light of wages then, I doubt that), it would average out to less than 3 per week as patrons at the barbershop. A black barber would have to service whites in order to make a living, but the exclusion of blacks from the shops would have been a tragedy. Happy New Year, Tim!
