As you know, I can second your comments as to the value of the Indianapolis Recorder. My family has a similar story to yours. My maternal grandfather died in Terre Haute when he was only 40 years old. The Indianapolis Recorder carried a story about how my grandparents attended their "first church service since being a wedded couple" shortly after their Lyles Station marriage in 1914. It is the only newspaper article that mentions my grandfather while he was alive (his obituaries were in the Terre Haute newspapers). As I am sure you will understand, the article is very precious to us.
