Wow, Art--that's amazing. A newspaper search last week revealed that my great-uncle died as a result of injuries he sustained crossing the street in Cleveland. His actual death certificate isn't online, so this info wasn't otherwise available to me.

After Tim's webinar, I went back to the The Indianapolis Recorder and found a 1904 article about my great-grandfather's last days in Benton Harbor MI, stating that his illness was progressing and listing the relatives who came to visit. The article was dated four days before his death.

These newspapers really are invaluable-- I have no family memorabilia from that side, so these insights of life between the documented events are truly treasures.
