I am pleased to be a part of this Forum's creation and relish the satisfaction it gives to researchers; that was its designated mission.

However, I think it appropriate to let our gratitude be voiced to the folks at IUPUI, the Indianapolis Foundation, the Recorder, and others involved in making it possible to view this treasure online.

Often, even in modern times, the projects of benefit to African Americans can be pigeonholed or given low priority, but obviously in this case folks made it happen and they are due our thanks.
