Re: Indianapolis Recorder newspaper articles

Date: 8/27/2011, 10:26 am Art and Ron, You are very welcome and I agree that the Indianapolis Recorder newspaper has a treasure trove of "fill in the gaps" mentions of many African Americans living across Indiana after 1899. I navigate the newspaper issues much the same way that Ron described. I click on a "hit" (hilighted area) to enlarge enough for me to determine if it is the individual or article I want to have, then clipboard it by using the "pen" device in the toolbar. As instructed, I utilize my mouse to draw a border around the portion of the article I want, and after enlarging the clipboard, I print the article. Enlarging the clipboard allows me to review the article before printing. The articles always print in a very clear, enlarged print fashion, and much better looking, Art, than the articles in the Indianapolis Freeman. I found numerous articles in the Freeman, but found many more in the Recorder, possibly due to the greater longevity of the Recorder. Happy hunting Ron and Art! Messages In This Thread
