Based on your last comment about the newspapers being possibly NC specific, the databases being provided would not be any of those that are part of the ProQuest "Historical" Newspapers Collection, and more specifically, not part of their Black Newspapers Collection of 9 titles.

However, the NC collection being provided sounds interesting and I hope to get a chance to check it out during an upcoming trip to Wilmington.
