Beah Richards was great; born in Vicksburg Miss. in July 12 1920, died Sept. 14 2000. Some of greatest films, especially those I loved were Hurry Sundown that came out in the 1960s, where she played Rose Scott, a relative to Robert Hooks. She played Baby Suggs in Beloved, and a part of Cynthia Palmer as an elderly woman in Roots: The Next Generation. She was indeed a credit to her race.
