One of the controversies on Green Pastures that it appeared to be overly stereotyped. Have you seen any of that in this movie or play? Cabin in the Sky was indeed good, as it showed a little bit of the evil and good sides of things and of people, and did not come off too bad as stereotypes. Stormy Weather was okay. Then there is Anna Lucasta, a great Black film with Dorothy Dandrige and Harry Belafonte. Sounder and the Learning Tree were pretty good, however one sought of up to date movie that I liked and there were some controversies was The Color Purple. I understood it, and I liked it.
