I'm with you, Joseph. Howard Rollins was great.

Ragtime happens to be one of my favorite books and all-time favorite movies. And it's one of the few movies that remained true to the book and translated well to the screen.

I happened to live in New Rochelle at the time the movie was released. E.L Doctorow was a New Rochelle resident and I could identify some of the sites mentioned in the book/movie which only added to my appreciation and understanding.
