Howard Rollins played Colehouse Walker in Ragtime. He was brilliant as a young man with this fine looking car, a car that eventually got messed over by some white racist firemen. In the movie, Colehouse Walker goes to every thing to get his car paid for and worked on and an apology; which of course he later has to with his friends take over City Hall. Good movie. Others in the movie is Debbie Allen as his girlfriend, who has his baby. The storyline itself involves other characters as well.
