Actually, Richard, I am glad that you brought this up. I had contributed quite a few of the movies related to African Americans but only a few responses or no responses at all, so I just decided to leave it be. There are however a lot of movies not only with African Americans in them but some movies that are actually predominant Black.
One particular African American stands out, and he is not steretype, and he was a fine actor of his time. Remember Woody Strode, so many films about him...he was a Ethiopian king in The Ten Commandments, somewhat of a right hand man to John Wayne in The Man who shot Liberty Valance, a leader of the Buffalo Soldiers in Sergeant Rutledge (not sure if it is York or Rutledge), and he played as a strong man in Genghis Khan, and a gladiator in Spartacus.
Now he was great.
