Lead role--Jackie "Moms" Mabley Tenants of a boarding house run by "Moms" is about to be closed down. They decide to put on a show to raise money to save their home. A little cheesy by today's standards but a view into vaudeville acts of the time. Catch "Moms" throwing a few one liners, a stand-up routine and a tap dance. You can also see Una Mae Carlisle, the popular jazz singer whose career spanned from the 30's until the 50's. She retired in 1954 due to illness and passed away in 1956.
