Re: FEMALE OFFICERS - WORLD WAR II
In Response To: FEMALE OFFICERS - WORLD WAR II
() Bennie, I am a Charter Member of the Women's Military National Memorial, DC. I have visited the site, given my information to be added to their records as well as a picture. In literature they send out, there is as always 1 or 2 items about the women who served in the military in any War and the rest is about other's. I did write them a letter complaining and asked why. A representative called me and tried to give an answer that really wasn't satisfactory. Now you have posted a site to show the names of the Women Officers. How can we make sure all of these women wo served in the military register at the National Site. I have tried to do so with black women I know, but they don't seem to be interested. We Women Vets must make sure we are REMEMBERED and I am not saying to do so in a segregated way. Join the Military Women's National Memorial Register.
