() I will check around and see if it may have been a U. S. unit or maybe British, Canadian or French. The only integrated U. S. unit that I know of in Europe during World War II was the 394th Infantry Regiment, 99th Infantry Division, and this came about because of a desperate need for infantrymen during the Remagen bridgehead in 1945.
Remember a lot of World War II history has been suppressed.
