It is true that much was destroyed in the 1973 fire, there are other sources to find information since he served as an officer during the 1st World War I was able to find much info in the army register for officers which was published each year, other sources such as the army's retired men's list which was a national list published each year also contains much information, NARC published micro film of the register of enlistments, and regimental returns. I do have photo's of him and his unit sometimes it takes a little time to go through all my files that I have.You have to remember that my efforts at this type of research began over 35 years ago and during that time I have picked a lot of wonderful information.
