Thanks again for providing the info on my gg-uncle Elliott. Here are two questions for you:

1) How were you able to extract that info, since NARA says the files were destroyed in the '73 fire? I ask because I'd still like to obtain a photocopy of something resembling a service record. Do you know what I mean? Like in the instance of indicating that ancestors were married on a given date. It gives your research more credence when you can support it with documentation such as the marriage certificate. If you can direct me to where I might find the info, I'd like to pursue that avenue.

2) Have you been able to determine if you have any photos in your files of him? I understand that there would be a cast, if so. I just wondered if you did have photos of him or, perhaps of his unit.
