On the 1910 Census he was 24 years of age and he resided with his father and mother Anderson and Jane Bentley in Fulton county Georgia, the South Bend District.

I hope this is helpful in solving this puzzle.....it seems he was too young or too old for any of the wars I know about but the census records the number "5" in the Veteran column which I take to mean he served the country for five years.

Of course the whole thing could be a recording mistake but I am hoping it isn't.
