Scholars of Henry O. Flipper
To: Serious Students/Researchers of Henry O. Flipper
1. Does anyone know if Flipper's personal papers are in private hands (family) or are they donated to a public library/museum.
2. In my research I've located several books by Flipper et al documenting his life.
BLACK FRONTIERSMAN: THE MEMOIRS OF HENRY O. FLIPPER, FIRST BLACK GRADUATE OF WEST POINT - Henry O. Flipper & Theodore D. Harris (ed.)
THE COLORED CADET AT WEST POINT: Autobiography of Lt. Henry Ossian Flipper
NEGRO FRONTIERSMAN. El Paso: Texas Western College Press, 1963 - Henry O. Flipper
THE WESTERN MEMOIRS OF HENRY O. FLIPPER 1878 -1916 El Paso: Texas Western College Press, 1963 - Henry O. Flipper
3. These are now hard to find/out of print and rare books. Check the book site ALBRIS.com, and you should find some of them. ALIBRIS is one of the best sites for rare/out of print and used books with very reasonable prices and some 1st editions which will cost more.
