Separating Fact from Fiction! Can anyone answer these questions!During the period 1866-1940 were the only black regular army units or detachments the 24th and 25th Infantry and the 9th and 10th Cavalry? Was the white officer of the black units the only white soldier in a black unit? Did black soldiers serve in any other units other than the four black regiments of the regular army? Where all black officers during this period graduates of West Point?
