I was ll years ols when WWII commenced in 1941, My Aunt Sally Feltus Johmston was a Hostess at the service club for black soldiers in Natchez, Mississippi.. I knew personally many of the men stationed at Camp Van Dorn in the Quartermaster Trucking companies.. These men went to Europe and fought there... I recall that Natchez was put off limits because of racial troubles.. Many of these soldiers were in the National Guard from
