I got the info on the "slave rolls" from "Finding A Place Called Home" by Dr. D. parmer Woodtor. They are records of the slaves that owners hired out or were required to send to work for the Confederate troops.

These men would have no USCT record, therefore, i am very interested in these records if available. Do you know anything about these rolls? I have yet to hear back from the national Archives.
