In the mid 1990's, The Marshall Heights Community Development Organization Inc. held a "Community Awareness Day", to inform the Ward Seven,Washington, D.C. community about many resources and history
in our neighborhoods. We hosted the "Tuskegee Airmen" and General Benjamin O. Davis Jr. who just published his biography. We gave him an award and he autographed his book for the attendees. We had more than 20+ Tuskegee Airmen in attendence. Many still live in our area. Dr. Wise may have been there. We try to honor folks while they are still with us. LLoyd
