Another event:

The military drama "Camp Logan" will be presented at the State Black Archives, Research Center and Museum at Alabama A & M Univ. July 16-17.
"Organizers are linking the upcoming production to the recent local unveiling of the Buffalo Soldiers monument, the scheduled 19th reunion of the 24th Infantry Regiment and Huntsville's Bicentennial Celebration.

"Camp Logan" is based on the 1917 court-martial and execution of 19 black soldiers from the U.S. Army's 24th Infantry who mutinied in Houston, Tx."

In 1898-9, the Tenth Cavalry was encamped at Cavalry Hill, the present site of the Huntsville Academy for Academics and Art. The reunion of the 24th will be held July 14-17.
