That's interesting about General Almond's grandson being at the reunion! I'm going to research some more on the 92nd. Unfortunately, history books and even some Black historians have been very guilty of not giving this outfit the proper due. Alot of Black historians just regurgitate what white authors say about the 92nd and are basically useless when it comes to giving another side to the scenario. They're not too many books out there about the Italian campaign after the fall of Rome but I'm wondering if there are books of the Italian campaign from the German and Italian perspective? Oftimes your adversary has a greater respect for you than your supposed comrade or ally.
