Sorry for delay in responding,been having alot of PC problems.You are right.The 92nd fought gallantly during it's entire time in combat.Many of the statements about them being a poor outfit is totally false.I have had many 92nd vets tell how it really was and how none of the real accomplishments never got properly recognized.The Italian citizens to this day ,have never forgotten the deeds of these men.In Somocolonia there are menorials to them and some go back to Italy to visit each year for celebrations honoring the 92nd.When the Philadelphia chapter of the 92nd Division Association hosted areunion 6 yrs ago the Sons of Italy made sure that the men were not forgotten.I went to the 62nd reunion in Rockville,MD this past October and about 150 92nd vets showed up including General Almonds Grandson.I was upset that not one News paer reporter,mews channel etc. showed up to do anything.This must change,the men are going fast.
