George, thanks for your response!! With the renewed interest in WW2 I also see Hollywood wanting to take another stab at making war films about Black soldiers like was done with Glory, Tuskegee Airmen and Men of Honor. Even Hart's War had two brothers portraying fighter pilots in a Nazi POW camp. Morgan Freeman has some script going to Dreamworks. It's a fictionalized account of the 761st Tank Battlion. I like Morgan Freeman but I'm a bit leary of Hollywood when it comes to its portrayal of Blackmen. God willing I'll be in film school at Columbia College here in Chicago this fall. World War 2 has been a pet project of mine ever since I was a boy. The gentleman that directed Men of Honor graduated from Columbia College!!! I'd love to direct a war film with a the subject matter of Black soldiers. The information is quite extensive contrary to popular notions.
Thanks!!!! Gerald Johnson
