He gave me Leon Alligood's address; and I e-mailed him.
To date, I haven't received a response.

Perhaps there's nothing more to the story.
Perhaps there's much much more!
Perhaps Mr. Alligood is on vacation.

Lillie Harding Vertrees Odom's quoted words were that this (story) is "highly unusual". Given that qualification from the source would indicate, to me at least, that this is something to note - but not to get carried away with and applaud. This still calls up an evil time in this nation's history. There's nothing to cheer here, in my opinion.
