Hi Eric, Yes Mason and Furr's book is quite expensive.I dont think that it was ever reprinted last one that I saw had an asking price of $1000.00.No do not buy the books if all you want is the info on Black US outfits in the Vosges,Alsace then the units you may want are the 369th and 370th Inf.,92nd Inf.Div(Black combat troops that stayed under American Command and kept standard US issue weapons and equipment).I believe that those are the pnly US blacks that fought in those sectors,I dont the maps that show those sectors all I have is town names .The 372nd was in the Meuse- Argone,Verdun,Lorraine. We can help you out,if you do not have access to an InterLibray loan system in France. You could be of some help to us for French information on the 157th French Div. and any other info they may have on the American Black troops.Emmet J.Scotts book is available for online viewing of it's entire contents.Great info on all those units.
Take care, Richard Ford
