Truly an amazing letter-Thank you so much for posting it. When you look at the time it was written, and the position Mr. Doughty put himself in, it is even more remarkable...not only very well written, but extremely courageous. Do you by any chance know what happened to this remarkable person? Did he survive the war and have family. If so, I wonder what direction his life moved in? I am sure he has made an impact, it would be very interesting to know more.
