FROM: The American War Library Veteran's Day Bulletin: The World's Oldest, Largest and Most Respected Online Military Personnel Registry INDEX
ABOUT THE MILITARY PERSONNEL REGISTRY During the upcoming Veteran's Day season hundreds of thousands of Americans will go online to seek information about past and present military personnel. The American War Library was established on 04 July 1988 (New York Times, 12 Dec 1988). Pre-dating the internet, The War Library is the oldest and largest online military and veteran Personnel Registry. The number of War Library personnel and unit contact listings far exceeds the total number of veterans currently membering all veteran organizations combined. Because the War Library also collects the names of foreign military personnel and veterans, the number of past and present military personnel listings far exceeds the total number of veterans listed by the U.S. National Records and Personnel Center in St. Louis, MO: http://members.aol.com/forvets/htomr.htm Names and military information listed in the daily updated American War Library database are collected from many resources, both official and unofficial. Official and confirmed war service and military medal recipients are identified by DOD reference code. Names and information are collected on former military personnel dating back to America's pre-Revolutionary War era to the present. New information is updated daily. HOW TO ACCESS THE REGISTRY The War Library operates on the most secure and impenetrable internet platform in existence. The War Library is accessible only via ULTRA-secure PC software available at URL: http://www.amervets.com/database. HOW TO REGISTER A LISTING IN THE REGISTRY Public registration can be done at this URL:
