USS Alabama teachers military history

MOBILE, Ala. -- History buffs, war veterans or just patriotic Americans can pack a picnic lunch, load up the family and enjoy the day at the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park, located east of Mobile on Battleship Parkway.

The park features a full day of military history to explore, including the USS Alabama Battleship; the USS Drum Submarine; a large variety of aircraft, tanks and other military equipment dating from World War II through Operation Desert Storm; a flight simulator; a Vietnam memorial; and a gift shop, concession stand and picnic area.
