I was a member of the US Army for seven years and I defend the right of the filmmakers to make this movie. So what if it's a movie about soldiers who happen to also do bad things? That doesn't mean it reflects upon all soldiers in the military. Do you really believe that there aren't soldiers out there engaged in illegal activities? Why didn't you guys protest KELLY'S HEROES or THREE KINGS, which depict American soldiers committing even more blatant acts of crime? If you are really the proud Americans you purport to be, then please show a little respect for the constitution and the freedom of these filmmakers to depict any damned thing they want. If you don't like it, don't watch it. If you want to be angry with someone for staining the image of the American soldier, blame George W. Bush for bullying around and killing the inhabitants of a nation that's size of Rhode Island and roughly as dangerous.
