Hi K. Nichols: The 92nd Division was knicknamed the "Buffalo" Division in honor of the 9th & 10th Cavalry and the 24th & 25th Inf. Regiments, who served in the West, in the Spanish American War, in Cuba and in the Phillipines. To my knowledge, they were not known as "Buffalo Soldiers". The 24th Regiment served in the Korean War.
