Sir: I wonder if you have run across info on a Richard COX, the only COX who served in the 5th US or 27th US COLORED INFANTRY (Camp Deleware). I do not have the first name of my great grandfather COX who probably lived in London, OH at the time he began service. He died in the Civil War and his (second) wife received his militaty pension, so I was told. My first step will be to obtain the census data from Madison county, if available. If you have additional suggestions, I would greatly appreciate them. Very glad to discover this forum a few days ago.
