I think that your idea is a wonderful one, but not one that I would want to participate in at theis time because I have my hands more than full with the screenplays that I am working on at the moment - and I have already done my research fully for them and need just to concentrate on the writing. Which is not to say that there might always be something more to learn on the subject of the Black Seminoles, but after five years of intensive research I have pretty much left no stone unturned, and I hope I will do it justice.

It is amazing to me, though, how many stories I run across doing my research, which I would love to write for the screen. The story of Cathay Williams, the female Buffallo soldier is one. But I am not a person who is greatly inerested in military history and at some point I do want to return to writing contemporary movies - and right now I have fodder for another five years or more of historical pieces with black protagonists, so I think my slate is full!

But I wish your idea the best and would help in any way that I could if you got it off the ground.
