I have researched some African Americans who served in the Civil

War, with the Buffalo Soldiers, the Spanish American War and

the 369th Infantry in WW1, in France, etc. Some of these soldiers

were my relatives. They have some interesting possibilities for

future feature length films, if some where weaved together. I am

advocating the development of new and unique story lines based on

actual events in which our forefathers and mothers have received

little or no recognition. "Cold Mountain" was part of a family

history and the rest was fiction, but it told their story.

We have an urgent need to tell our story in an

intelligent, dignified, entertaining and bankable vehicle.

Since I am not a writer, as you know, I would like to see

some of this idle energy, put to constructive use to begin an

effort through collaboration, and profit sharing. Meaning you

writers in this group and "out there".

I have some story ideas and history, as do many of you and

suggest that an entreprenurial business collaboration be formed

get our stories to the big screen. I will contribute, but not do

the writing.
