William Simonton Bowdry was my ancestor, a GGG uncle. He was the son of Joshua and Jane Simonton Bowdry. It is well documented that Joshua owned a large number of salves. Thomas Bowdry is probably not related. Joshua died in Prentiss Co. MS. in 1850. I have copies of the probate records although they are in storage at the current time. I am interested because you mention the war records and I may be able to help with the estate records.
