I was able to locate a 3rd great-grandfather of mine, Peter Allen, from Sidney, Shelby Co., Ohio who volunteered for service in the Civil War and was assigned to Co. K of 32nd USCT which was organized at Camp William Penn in Pennsylvania in 1864. The information found at this link gives a great glimpse of the 32nd USCT on pages 1047 thru 1064.

Many Ohio AA's, Peter Allen as an example, who served in the CW are not found in the CW records for Ohio since they served with units formed outside of Ohio, in this case, a Pennsylvania unit,
