Thank you for the follow-up. I think I read that Mr. Coates is going to follow up this discussion with an article or book. I hope that he does because he is a good writer and a great read. I also hope he investigates the Civil War from the point of view of several individual U.S. Colored Troops. He can achieve this objective by contacting a sundry of researchers in this forum where his story is almost written.

A story about U.S. Colored Troop as a person with a family, a history and descendants would be a great subject.
