I would like to say to all of you who honor us with a thank you for your service, I personally say I truly appreciate your comments.
I was sitting in a airport, waiting on a flight transfer, and I saw this senior man walk up to this young marine. He shook his hand, looked him straight in the eyes and you could see he was saying some 'kind' words, because this young marine came to attention of sorts and smiled and thanked him. The senior man was white, the young marine was black.
That's what the Viet Nam vets would have loved to have happen.
