Many "firsts", including 2 women who were the first AA women enlistees and another who, in 2005, became the first AA woman aviator for the USCG. Of course, one of the photos is of Alexander Palmer Haley (Alex Haley), famed author of "Roots". I, myself, served in the USCG Reserves as a Petty Officer 3rd Class from Oct 1974 to Oct 1977. My, how the uniforms have changed since then.
