At the behest of an author I contacted, I checked the National Park Service Civil War Soldiers and Sailers System website again and just put in Joseph Adger's name and IT POPPED UP!!! Born Charleston, SC 19 years of age, mulatto cabinetmaker, 5'6" Enlisted Philadelphia 1/13/1864 for 1 term. DIED 1/22/1864!!! Now to find what he was doing JUST BEFORE 1/13/1864 because he was supposedly involved with recruiting blacks for the PAUSCT!
