I knew of the Bennie McRae Archives but not of Cornell University's "The War of the Rebellion: a Compilation of the Official Records of the Union and Confederate Armies." I most certainly will follow-up and visit the site, also thanks for suggesting I search the officers associated with the service of my ancestors something I hadn’t thought of.
