I had an office near Col Cherry when I served with the Defense Intelligence Agency 1978-1981, and we spoke often. I have so much respect for him and have said many times the uniform was designed with him in mind. When I was leaving the agency they were to present me a medal an ask me who I would like do the presentation, the only answer to that was Col Cherry (I still cherish the picture of that ceremony).
