Thanks PF, I never knew about the Sanitary Detachment. I'll look into it. Unfortunately, the WWI photo was in an album of unidentified family photos and he doesn't match the description of known family members who were in WWI. The photo is a Scurlock, which means it was probably taken in Washington, DC. That's all I know.

As far as the Sons group, my great grandfather was a member. I'll look into it, thanks!
