For a project on the African American veterans self-identified on the 1890 Oklahoma Territorial census:

I am looking for information on Francis Clinton, believed born in Baltimore, MD about 1845 and died in Coyle, OK in 1917. According to the 1890 OK Vet census, he served in the regular army 15 years. He was also in the Navy, perhaps during the Civil War. He received land in what is now Logan County, OK in 1889. I believe he married Charlott [Maiden Name unknown] Logan County (havent' had time to document this one yet).

Does this man fit into anyone's family out there?
